The music ministry at FUMC offers opportunities for individuals of all ages and musical interests. In addition to the various choirs listed below there are always opportunities for solos, duets, trios, quartets and instrumentalists.

The Handbell Choir is made up of adults who meet each week on Monday evenings at 6:15 PM in the Asbury Office Complex. The Handbell Choir is directed by Paula Van Hooser and plays during the services of worship once a month and for special services during the Christmas and Easter Season.

The KIDZ Connection Choir is a part of the Kidz Connection and Club 45 music and educational program for ages Kindergarten through 5th grade. The program meets on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Wesley Hall. The program is a time for recreation, education, devotion, crafts and music. The educational component is directed by Beth Logullo and the music component is directed by Susie Reiser. The children participate monthly in our worship services.

New Song is a contemporary adult ensemble that opens the services of worship and leads the congregation in Praise and Worship. This group of singers rehearse each Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the choir room and participate in both Sunday morning worship services on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month.

The Men’s Choir is for men of all ages. The men rehearse each Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary, and they present special music at both worship services once a month.

The Chancel Choir is our main service choir and is open to all adults. The choir sings each week during the 11:00 AM Service of Worship. The choir sings a variety of styles of music and presents a cantata during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Rehearsals are held each Wednesday at 7:15 PM in the choir room.
The goal of the Music Ministry is to lead the congregation into an attitude of worship through music in praising God.
